About the Mission
God is reaching out to the residents of Harmony and Woodland Villages, two separate but side-by-side mobile home parks in Wauconda, IL. He has called me to be a part of that endeavor. Building relationship, meeting needs, and making disciples are the basic tasks at hand. Working with Love INC Lake County Southwest, Fusion Church of Lake Zurich and Forge Chicago, I have a vast array of resources at my fingertips. Currently the most vital event is our weekly Village Gathering where we share a meal and build relationship.

I am eager to hear more about your service in the trailer park. Will you be moving into the park? I’ve known people who moved into the inner city in order to be a “light”, but I never considered the great value of that concept in a trailer park. Awesome.
I like your blog. It’s clean and focused. It makes mine look like it was put together with a shot gun. But I’m in so deep that I’m not sure I want to reorganize, redo, and re-enter.

Christine sent me the information on your blog and the recent trip that you and Dan went on. She knew I would enjoy viewing both. She was right. The Glacier pictures took my breath away and made me want to head there immediately. Instead I’ll just head to the UP for a weekend soon.
I’m looking forward to digging deeper in your blog and enjoying the cornucopia. I hope to learn more of how you and others may be living in mission. Christine had mentioned your connection with CHE and Lifewind, but I forgot until I saw it on your blog. I hope to incorporate that same approach here. Living in a mobile home park is definitely not as cool or “sexy” as living in the inner city, but the need is just as great.

I like you blog. We are not too far apart. I live in Woodstock, a hop and a jump from Wauconda. Love INC is being formed in McHenry County right now. I went to the informational meeting, and loved what I heard. Keep up the mission!
